An enforcement zone is a jurisdiction with an age-verification obligation, expressed in ComplyAge as a minimum age, a default rule and the verification methods it accepts. The catalogue covers the US states with adult-content statutes, the United Kingdom, France and Australia. Every visitor is matched to a zone by IP, the zone's rule is applied, and only accepted methods are offered.
How zones work
Every visitor is matched to a region by IP. Each region carries a compliance rule you configure: allow access, require verification, or deny access. The Age Gate enforces it automatically, and passes the zone's accepted methods into the verification window.

Three outcomes cover every region.
- Allow — no gate required for this region
- Verify — the visitor must complete age/identity verification
- Deny — access is blocked for this region
Strict and flex zones
Zones differ in which methods they accept. Strict zones — Texas and Louisiana — accept government ID or a payment card. Flex zones — the other US states in the catalogue, the UK, France and Australia — also accept facial age estimation. The minimum age for adult content is 18 everywhere in the catalogue.
